Overall this was a low-scoring round, but it was led by Bethesda North End, who scored 85 points. At the top, BL4CKnRED‘s overall lead was trimmed ever so slightly to 19 points.

Positional Leaders

Goalkeepers
The duo of Roman Celentano (CIN, $8.2) and Jonathan Sirois (MTL, $7.4) split the goalkeeping lead with 9 points, each of them earning a clean sheet. Stefan Frei (SEA, $9.1) was just off the pace with a clean sheet and 8 points. DCU’s Tyler Miller ($8.6) scored 4 points.

Defenders
Gabriele Corbo (MTL, $6.8) led the defenders with 13 points on a clean sheet and an assist, ahead of Daniel Lovitz (NSH, $8.8), who tallied two assists and 12 points. Aaron Herrera (MTL, $7.3) was third with a clean sheet and 11 points. For United, the scoring defenders were Derrick Williams ($5.9) with 5 points, Donovan Pines ($9.3) with 3, Andy Najar ($5.3) with 2, and both Pedro Santos ($7.3) and Gaoussou Samake ($5.0) with 1.

Midfielders
Nashville’s Hany Mukhtar ($13.8) paired a goal with an assist on the way to 14 points, leading the midfielders. Not far behind were Hector Herrera (HOU, $11.2), whose goal and assist helped him to 13 points, and Lorenzo Insigne (TOR, $9.4), who had two assists and 12 points. The D.C. midfield was led by Mateusz Klich ($9.3) with 5 points, followed by Lewis O’Brien ($7.0) with 4, Russell Canouse ($6.7) with 3, both Victor Palsson ($6.6) and Chris Durkin ($5.1) with 2, and Ted Ku-Dipietro ($4.5) with 1.

Forwards
Julian Carranza (PHI, $10.5) scored twice on the way to 16 points, leading the forwards and all players, well ahead of Bobby Wood (NE, $6.8), with 10 points on a goal and an assits. Daniel Salloi (SKC, $7.7) rounded out the top three with 9 points on the strength of a goal. United’s forwards were led by Christian Benteke ($9.6) with 7 points, ahead of Taxi Fountas ($7.5) and Cristian Dajome ($4.2) with 1 each.

Looking Ahead
Load up on two-gamers again this round, as every team except Portland, Nashville, the Galaxy, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Orlando plays twice. I like Yohei Takaoka (VAN, $8.2) in goal vs. Houston and Kansas City, and Kai Wagner (PHI, $9.6) in defense vs. Charlotte and Montreal. Lucas Zelarayan (CLB, $12.2) looks strong in midfield vs. Colorado and Charlotte, and keep Julian Carranza in at forward.
