DC United has a big week this week as they have a series coming up against FC Cincinnati. The first takes place tonight at TQL Stadium as the two teams make up the game that was postponed due to storms back on September 5th.

The Black-and-Red have entered the part of the season where there are matches every 3 days, but they still have to get the points. In this case, with this being a rescheduled game in hand, they have a chance to make up some ground and become level with the playoff line residents in terms of points. It’s rare that we have an instance where 2 teams play each other twice in a row during the regular season, but they can show they can handle a playoff series if they’re able to get 6 points against Cincinnati.

DC has to put last weekend in the past. They were demolished 4-1 in Orlando, but Cincinnati have lost their previous two matches at home, including last weekend in the Hell is Real derby. They may be sick of each other by week’s end, but the Cincinnati series starts tonight on the banks of the Ohio River.
