DC United returns to league action tonight, hitting the road to take on Inter Miami. It’s the first time they will walk into Nu Stadium, which opened in April, and they hope to walk out with three vital points as they try to chase the playoff line.

DC United’s last league match saw them get a wild 3-3 draw on the road against the Vancouver Whitecaps, and they hope to get points against the darlings of Major League Soccer. They do so while entering a torrid finish to the regular season, with 8 matches in 28 days. Currently 11th in the Eastern Conference table, they are 3 points below the playoff line, but the East has 8 teams separated by 7 points. That means the Black-and-Red want to get 3 points where they can, and winning against Lionel Messi and Inter Miami would be a big boost to their confidence.

The team is focusing on one match at a time, but that means every match is hyper important. In front of a sold out Nu Stadium, they’ll hope to silence the fans in pink and walk out with the win.
