DC Power FC is back at Audi Field for a weekday matchup as they take on Fort Lauderdale United FC. DC Power is coming off a draw last Friday night against the Tampa Bay Sun and hope to get some more points to stay above the playoff line.

Currently, DC Power sits fourth in the USL Super League standings with 8 points from 6 matches, 2 points behind Dallas Trinity and Sporting Jacksonville. Omid Namazi has wanted to “end the trend” of dropping points at home, where the club has just four wins in 31 matches all-time. However, that trend continued with the draw on Friday night. With a prime opportunity to put some pressure on the teams above them and create some separation between them and the teams below the playoff line, this feels like a must win match for the home team.

Fort Lauderdale, on the other hand, is reeling. They’ve lost four of their last five matches and are in 7th place in the standings with 3 points from 5 matches. They want to get back to being the team that was in the USL Super League championship game in year one and not the team that finished dead last a season ago. DC Power hopes to get the win and use that to spring board themselves into a run the rest of the season.
