DC United @ FC Cincinnati: Preview, time, and how to watch

DC United hit the road this weekend, and on the banks of the Ohio River they will line up against FC Cincinnati tonight. DC United is seeking its first win in a month, but showed some toughness in their scoreless draw last weekend against LAFC.

DC United know that they’re entering the final couple months of the regular season, and wins need to become more consistent. Their last win in league play was on July 25th, with their last overall win coming exactly a month ago in the DMV Derby friendly against Loudoun United. At that time, they were above the playoff line, but now due to goal differential, they’re in 11th place in the East, with Orlando City having 2 more wins and Toronto FC having a better goal differential.

The key to victory: not allowing mistakes to turn into goals. They’ve struggled at times this season to maintain possession and turnovers deep in the midfield have allowed teams to gain scoring chances. On the other end, they’re hoping they can get Tai Baribo healthy, who has missed the past few matches due to injury. Other players will have to step up and provide the offense against a tough Cincinnati team.
