DCU takes on Montreal at Audi Field tomorrow evening and 7:30 ET, streaming on Apple TV. United will be anxious to weaponize homefield advantage to propel themselves into a more comfortable place in playoff contention, while 13th place Montreal will hope they can pull off an upset and climb toward postseason relevance. Vamos United!!!

Concacaf W Champions Cup final to pit Club América against Washington Spirit– The Athletic

Assuming you are watching the DCU game from home on Apple, you have the unique opportunity to switch from the DCU broadcast immediately and directly over to the Champions Cup final wherein The Washington Spirit will clash with Mexico’s contender, Club America for North American glory. The match will stream tomorrow at 9:30 ET on Paramount+.

Loudoun United’s link from its site still isn’t compatible with direct posting to this site, but the Virginia-based USL side also have a Saturday evening home match at Segra Field at 6 PM ET. You can stream the match on ESPN+ and DC News Now.

Michelle Kang owned Lyon and the USWNT’s Lindsey Heaps, Lily Yohannes, and Korbin Shrader will get the chance to topple Barcelona in the UEFA Women’s Champions Cup Final. The match kicks off at 12 PM tomorrow on Paramount+, and it should be pretty intense.

USMNT’s Chris Richards tears ankle ligaments ahead of World Cup– ESPN

This is not ideal. Chris Richards has suffered two torn ankle ligaments, according to his club side, Crystal Palace. The team’s medical staff have talked about the issue as one related to swelling, and I do want to flag this section so that it isn’t missed in panic by USMNT fans: “Despite the concerning timing of the injury for the U.S., Richards is expected to be match fit within the next week and his readiness for the World Cup is not currently in doubt, a source told ESPN’s Jeff Carlisle.” Richards is irreplaceable in the US backline, so let’s hope the issue resolves, and the rest of his body gets a chance to cool down from the red zone after a lot of minutes played this season. Fingers crossed.

It seems that England’s current manager, Thomas Tuchel, has made peace with his squad preferences, and presumably his maker. Read about it here, but seriously, the Ivan Toney inclusion is one of the wildest swings I’ve ever seen, putting aside the exclusion of the likes of Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, and Trent Alexander Arnold.
