DC Power FC hit the road today to take on Fort Lauderdale United in a game that feels ever more important. With DC Power having lost their past two matches yet still hanging a few points below the playoff line, they desperately want to get back to basics and return to the win column.

With just six matches remaining for DC Power in the regular season, they are in 5th place, just three points behind Dallas Trinity for that final playoff spot. Every match is a playoff match from here on out as they seek to get the points necessary to get into that four team playoff, where anything can happen.

They suffered setbacks in their previous two matches, losing to Tampa Bay Sun on March 26th and then to Lexington SC on Wednesday night. Fort Lauderdale United sits in last place in the table, but DC Power cannot take them lightly. They need to establish their tempo and control to keep Fort Lauderdale at arm’s length and finish their scoring opportunities. The playoffs could come down to goal differential, so every point and every goal counts for DC moving forward. They hope to return to their winning ways this evening in South Florida.
