The leader this round was Euskadi, with a score of 145 points, while at the top of the league it was BL4CKnRED extending their overall lead to 68 points.

Positional Leaders

Goalkeepers
The pair of Daniel (SJ, $7.0) and D.C.’s own Alex Bono ($7.5) split the goalkeeping lead with 16 points, as Bono kept two clean sheets and Daniel kept one. David Bingham (POR, $7.0) rounded out the top three with 11 points on one clean sheet.

Defenders
Three players tied for the defenders’ scoring lead on 19 points, with D.C.’s Ruan ($8.2) amassing two clean sheets, and both Claudo Bravo (POR, $8.0) and Rodrigues (SJ, $10.5) pairing a goal and a clean sheet. The remaining DCU defenders were Brendan Hines-Ike ($5.4) with 16 points, Donovan Pines ($9.4) with 13, Steven Birnbaum ($6.8) and Eric Davis ($8.0) with 9, Pedro Santos ($8.1) with 7, and Andy Najar ($5.8) with 1.

Midfielders
New England’s Carles Gil ($13.7) paired a goal with an assist on the way to 19 points, leading the midfielders. Trailing him were Cristian Espinoza (SJ, $13.4), whose two assists helped him to 17 points, and Diego Fagundez (LAG, $7.5), who scored 15 points on the strength of three assists. The United midfield was led by Mateusz Klich ($8.4) with 11 points; followed by the trio of Russell Canouse ($6.0), Ted Ku-Dipietro ($5.6), and Gabriel Pirani ($7.2) with 6; Chris Durkin ($6.1) with 4; and Yamil Asad ($4.0) with 2.

Forwards
Leonardo Campana (MIA, $6.8) scored four goals over two games on the way to 26 points, leading the forwards and all players. Meanwhile Carlos Vela (LA, $10.8) tallied two assists, Joao Klauss (STL, $9.2) scored two goals, and both scored 14 points. The D.C. forwards were Christian Benteke ($7.6) with 5 points, Cristian Dajome ($4.5) with 3, Nigel Robertha ($4.3) with 2, and Erik Hurtado ($5.6) with 1.

Looking Ahead
Just two teams play once this round: Seattle and New England. Everyone else plays twice, so load up on those two-gamers. In goal, I like the idea of saving a little money on Roman Celentano (CIN, $7.5) @ Montreal and vs. Charlotte, and I like Julian Gressel (CLB, $9.7) in defense vs. Chicago and @ Dallas. Get Hany Mukhtar (NSH, $12.4) back in the midfield @ Kansas City and @ San Jose, and Cucho Hernandez (CLB, $12.0) is a must at forward.
