GSFC found themselves back at the top of the league this round, posting a score of 88 points. That trims overall leader
BL4CKnRED‘s advantage at the top of the table to one point.

Positional Leaders

Goalkeepers
Tim Melia (SKC, $6.6) did the clean sheet/saved penalty double on the way to 13 points, easily leading the goalkeepers. Trailing him were Chris Brady (CHI, $6.8), with a clean sheet and 9 points, and Stefan Frei (SEA, $9.6), with a clean sheet and 8. D.C.’s Tyler Miller ($7.6) scored 3 points.

Defenders
Dany Rosero (SKC, $6.5) scored a goal and kept a clean sheet on the way to a position-leading 13 points. Right behind him was the 12-point pair of Alex Roldan (SEA, $10.4), who kept a clean sheet, and Juan Purata (ATL, $7.0), who scored a goal. of The DCU defense featured Donovan Pines ($8.6) with 5 points, Ruan ($7.1) with 3, Gaoussou Samake ($4.0) with 2, and Derrick Williams ($4.9) with 1.

Midfielders
Portland’s Evander ($9.0) scored twice on the way to 16 points, leading the midfielders and all players. Off the pace were the 11-point pair of Carles Gil (NE, $11.6), who scored a goal, and Thiago Almada (ATL, $13.8), who had an assist. For United, Mateusz Klich ($8.4) led with 7 points, followed by Ted Ku-Dipietro ($4.4) with 6, Russell Canouse ($6.4) with 4, Victor Palsson ($7.0) and Lewis O’Brien ($7.0) with 3, and Chris Durkin ($4.8) with 2.

Forwards
The duo of Justin Meram (CLT, $5.6), with two goals, and Denis Bouanga (LA, $11.9), who scored one, split the positional lead with 13 points. Daniel Salloi (SKC, $7.6) rounded out the top three with 11 points on a goal and an assist. The forwards for D.C. were Kristian Fletcher ($4.7) with 5 points, and the pair of Taxi Fountas ($8.0) and Cristian Dajome ($4.0) with 1.

Looking Ahead
It’s a two-game bonanza! No team is on bye, and all teams but the following play twice: New England, St. Louis, San Jose, and NYC. With that in mind, it’s a good time to load up on players with a double. Joe Willis (NSH, $9.3) is a strong option in goal vs. Miami and at Charlotte, and I like Diego Palacios (LA, $9.0) in defense vs. Kansas City and vs. San Jose. Daniel Gazdag (PHI, $11.1) looks strong in midfield vs. DCU and vs. New England, and keep riding with Denis Bouanga at forward.
