BL4CKnRED cruised to the scoring lead this round, amassing 106 points, 12 more than anyone else, and closing to within two points of GSFC, who still sits at the top overall.
Positional Leaders

Defenders
A 13-point trio finished atop the defenders, with Paul Marie (SJ, $7.2) combining an assist and clean sheet, Maxime Chanot (NY, $7.2) scoring a goal, and Juan Mosquera (POR, $6.7) pairing a goal with an assist. The D.C. defense was led by Pedro Santos ($6.1) with 9 points, followed by Steven Birnbaum ($6.8) and Donovan Pines ($7.0) with 8 points, Ruan ($6.7) with 7, and both Andy Najar ($4.8) and Mohanad Jeahze ($4.2) with 1.
Midfielders
Eduard Lowen (STL, $9.3) paced the midfielders with a goal, an assist, and 13 points, followed by his teammate Jared Stroud ($6.8), who scored 12 points on the same. Daniel Gazdag (PHI, $10.1) rounded out the top three with his own goal, assist, and 11 points. The scoring United midfielders were Mateusz Klich ($8.4) and Russell Canouse ($6.3) with 4 points, Victor Palsson ($6.2) with 2, and both Chris Durkin ($6.4) and Ted Ku-Dipietro ($4.1) with 1. Notably, goalscorer Lewis O’Brien is not in the game yet.
Forwards
Veeeeeee laaaaaaaa, Veeeeee laaaaaaaa, Carlos Vela (LA, $9.3) scored twice and also tallied an assist on the way to 17 points, leading the forwards and all players. Trailing him were Jeremy Ebobisse (SJ, $8.7), who scored twice on the way to 15 points, and Kerwin Vargas (CLT, $7.8), who posted a goal, an assist, and 11 points. For D.C. it was Christian Benteke ($8.0) and Taxi Fountas ($6.5) scoring 2 points each.
Looking Ahead
Vancouver is on bye and everyone else plays once. If you’re not into paying a lot of money for Djordje Petrovic (NE, $9.6) in goal at home against inept Kansas City, save some money with Carlos Coronel (NYR, $5.6) at punchless Montreal. I’ve got Brandon Bye (NE, $8.3) in defense, and Lucas Zelarayan (CLB, $11.7) in the midfield at Charlotte. At forward, look at Giorgos Giakoumakis (ATL, $8.6), who has scored a goal in four straight appearances, vs. Chicago.
