As you see above, GSFC led the league for the second straight round, this time with a total of 98 points. With that performance, GSFC has also ascended to the top of the overall table with a mere 1-point lead.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
The Galaxy’s Jonathan Bond ($6.8) led the goalkeepers with a clean sheet and 12 points. Behind him were Brad Guzan (ATL, $6.8) with 10 points on a clean sheet, and Luis Barraza (NYC, $5.6) with a clean sheet and 8 points. Tyler Miller ($5.3) scored 4 points for DCU.
Defenders
Caleb Wiley (ATL, $5.0) led the defenders and all players with 21 points on the strength of two goals, an assist, and a clean sheet. Far behind was the Kansas City duo of Andreu Fontas ($7.4) and Robert Voloder ($6.6), who scored 11 points each on a clean sheet. The D.C. defense was led by Derrick Williams ($5.5) with 6 points, followed by Pedro Santos ($6.1) with 5, Ruan ($5.6) with 4, Steven Birnbaum ($4.8) with 3, and Mohanad Jeahze ($5.4) with 2.
Midfielders
Owen Wolff (ATX, $5.6) led the midfielders with a goal, an assist, and 13 points ahead of Timothy Tillman (LA, $7.2), who scored a goal and 12 points. DCU’s own Chris Durkin ($6.6) rounded out the top three with a goal and 11 points. The remainder of the United midfield featured Russell Canouse ($6.9) with 4 points, Mateusz Klich ($8.5) with 2, and the duo of Ted Ku-Dipietro ($6.0) and Jackson Hopkins $5.0) with 1.
Forwards
LAFC’s Denis Bouanga ($8.7) easily led the forwards with 19 points on two goals and an assist. Behind him were his teammate Stipe Biuk ($7.1) and Atlanta’s Luiz Araujo ($8.5), who each scored a goal and 9 points. The D.C. forwards were Christian Benteke ($8.0) with 3 points and Kristian Fletcher ($5.0) with 1.
Looking Ahead
RSL is on bye this week, and everyone else plays once. I like Brad Stuver (ATX, $7.5) in goal at Houston, and Kai Wagner (PHI, $7.8) in defense at Montreal. Sebastian Driussi (ATX, $9.4) is the midfield man, and I quietly like Karol Swiderski (CLT, $8.4) at Orlando.
