DC United loans Garrison Tubbs to Orange County SC.

DC United is sending one of its defenders on loan. Today, the club announced that Garrison Tubbs will go on loan to USL Championship side Orange County SC for the rest of the 2026 season. DC United retains the right to recall the loan at any point.

Tubbs joined the Black-and-Red in December 2023 and has made 23 appearances for the first team over two seasons. However, he has spent some time away from the club on loan. Twice last season, he was sent on loan to Loudoun United, the first coming for a USL Cup match in April. He returned to DC United after one match. He then stayed with the club until he was loaned again to Loudoun United in September to complete the season.

Tubbs had yet to appear for DC United so far in the first three matches of the season. Heading to Orange County SC, who won the USL Championship in 2021, will give him more opportunities to get playing time and develop on the field. Plus, the Black-and-Red can recall him if they need defensive help down the line.

Donald Wine has been a soccer fan since he first kicked a ball as a kid. He moved to DC in 2007 and quickly joined the soccer scene, helping to establish the DC chapter of the American Outlaws and serving as one of the capos and drummers for over a decade. He is currently the manager of Stars & Stripes FC, but this community is where he got his start, and he continues to contribute to anything DC soccer related for this site because he enjoys it so much.
