DC Power FC closes out the fall portion of the season this afternoon when they hit the road to take on Carolina Ascent. The team is coming off a 2-2 draw at Lexington SC, and they’re looking to get a win to head into the winter break.

Head coach Omid Namazi feels like the team is getting closer to putting everything together for a 90-minute performance on both ends of the field. Getting a brace from Gianna Gourley, who is now second in the Golden Boot race with 8 goals on the season, helps the team go. They want to clamp down on the defense and get their first clean sheet of the season. And that’s an effort that will require everyone on the field getting back and letting the offense generate from a defensive stop.

Against Carolina, they are prepared for another edition of a battle. The two teams are very familiar with each other, but DC Power hopes adjustments will help them end the fall half of the season on a high.
