DC Power FC vs. Brooklyn FC: Preview, time, and how to watch

DC Power FC returns to action tonight at Audi Field when they host Brooklyn FC. DC Power is coming off a scoreless draw last weekend to Lexington SC, their first clean sheet of the season. They remain unbeaten and hope to continue it against Brooklyn, who is 1W-2L-1D on the season thus far and is coming off a 2-0 road loss to Lexington back on September 7th.

Midfielder Carleigh Frilles indicated the team is even keeled with their approach to this match, after which they have a 16-day break. Still, they want to give it their all, no matter the distance between matches. “I think for every game, we want to approach it the same way, whether we have one couple days after or if we give a long break,” Frilles said earlier this week. “Every player wants to give everything they can, no matter what their role is. So preparing the same, knowing that we have the rest, doesn’t really change.”

Head coach Omid Namazi recognized the clean sheet against Lexington was one positive he could take away from the scoreless draw, but he’s hoping to continue to get more chances to score against Brooklyn. “We need to create more and that’s something that we’ve been working all week…leading up to the game,” Namazi said. “How can we free up some of our attacking players more to get into the box and create opportunities and maybe score goals? That’s been the theme of the week.”

DC Power will hope that those increased opportunities will create some goals and bring them another win against Brooklyn.
