Two teams shared the lead this round, as both Pitch PerfectFC (right) and ya boy Seoul Train scored 191 points. At the top of the league we have a change, as YA BOY SEOUL TRAIN has taken the overall lead with a margin of 43 points.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
Montreal’s Jonathan Sirois ($7.1) kept a clean sheet on the way to 12 points, leading the position ahead of Nico Hansen (COL, $5.3), who did the same for 11 points. Yohei Takaoka (VAN, $9.4) came in third with 10 points on a clean sheet. For D.C., Luis Barraza ($5.2) scored 2 points.
Defenders
Bongokuhle Hlongwane (MIN, $8.4) scored two goals on the way to 16 points, leading the defenders. Trailing him were Mohamed Farsi (CLB, $8.2), with 15 points on a goal and a clean sheet, and Anthony Markanich (MIN, $6.9), with a 13 points on a goal and an assist. For United it was David Schnegg ($4.6) and Kye Rowles ($4.5) with 3 points, Conner Antley ($4.6) and Lucas Bartlett ($4.5) with 2, and Garrison Tubbs ($4.1) and Matti Peltola ($4.0) with 1.
Midfielders
Cincinnati’s Evander ($13.7) scored four goals and added an assist on the way to 35 points, leading the midfielders and all players. Behind him were Anders Dreyer (SD, $14.2), with 28 points on a goal and four assists, and Mario Pasalic (ORL, $11.4), with three goals and 26 points. The DCU midfield featured Boris Enow ($4.0) with 3 points, Hosei Kijima ($4.6) and Brandon Servania ($5.0) with 2, and the trio of Joao Peglow ($7.7), Jared Stroud ($4.2), and Jackson Hopkins ($4.3) with 1.
Forwards
Sam Surridge (NSH, $12.5) scored four goals on the way to 26 points, leading the forwards well ahead of Petar Musa (DAL, $9.7), who had 17 points on two goals. In third was Ramiro Enrique (ORL, $5.7), who scored 16 points on two goals. The D.C. forwards were Dominique Badji ($4.1) with 2 points, and Christian Benteke ($10.5) with 1.
Looking Ahead
We’re back to a regular old one-game week this round. I like CJ Dos Santos (SD, $8.2) in goal vs. Houston, and Luca Orellano (CIN, $9.5) in defense vs. Chicago. Anders Dreyer is pricey, but he’s on a run of 3 goals and 5 assists over his last three games, so keep him in your midfield, and pick Denis Bouanga (LA, $12.0) at forward @ Austin.
