Nouhou Big Summer Blowout is still the overall leader, stretching the margin to 30 points.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
San Diego’s CJ Dos Santos ($7.9) kept two clean sheets and saved a penalty on the way to a position-leading 20 points. Behind him was D.C.’s own Luis Barraza ($5.8) with 15 points on two clean sheets, and Matt Freese (NY, $8.9) with 14 points on the same.
Defenders
Houston’s Griffin Dorsey ($8.5) compiled a goal, assist, and clean sheet on the way to 26 points, leading the defenders and all players. Trailing him were Christopher McVey (SD, $9.2), with 24 points on two clean sheets and a goal, and his teammate, Paddy McNair ($9.4), with 18 points on two clean sheets. The United defenders were led by Garrison Tubbs ($5.0) and David Schnegg ($4.8) with 14 points each, followed by Lucas Bartlett ($4.7) with 13, Matti Peltola ($4.3), Aaron Herrera ($6.8) with 8, and Conner Antley ($4.7) and Kye Rowles ($4.6) with 7 each.
Midfielders
The 23-point duo of Marco Reus (LAG, $8.8), with two goals and two assists, and Federico Bernardeschi, with two goals and one assist, led the positon. Brian Gutierrez (CHI, $9.0) rounded out the top three with 19 points on two goals and an assist. For United it was Brandon Servania ($5.2) and Rida Zouhir ($4.0) with 4 points each; Hosei Kijima ($5.7), Jackson Hopkins ($5.1), and Randall Leal ($4.8) with 2 each; and Joao Peglow ($8.6), Boris Enow ($4.0), and Jared Stroud ($5.1) with 1 each.
Forwards
Tai Baribo (PHI, $9.3) scored three times on the way to 19 points leading the forwards. Behind him was Luis Muriel (ORL, $10.9), who scored two goals, and Alonso Martinez (NY, $10.9), who paired a goal with an assist, both tied with 17 points. For DCU it was Jacob Murrell ($4.0) with 4 points and Christian Benteke ($10.9) with 1.
Looking Ahead
I like Pedro Gallese (ORL, $8.5) in goal vs. Portland and Bongokuhle Hlongwane (MIN, $9.0) in defense vs. Austin. In midfield, Carles Gil (NE, $12.1) looks strong at Kansas City, and at forward I like Chucky Lozano (SD, $11.1).
