DC Power FC vs. Dallas Trinity: Preview, time, and how to watch
DC Power FC returns to Audi Field tonight to host Dallas Trinity FC in their final meeting of the inaugural USL Super League season. DC Power enters the match at 4-12-7 with 19 points in the league table. Despite the fact they are out of the playoffs, they’re still looking to build on a win in their last match, a 1-0 road win against Brooklyn FC back on April 26th.
DC Power has been led by the surge of production from Gianna Gourley, whose goal against Brooklyn was the difference. It was her fifth goal in nine matches. “She brings a different level of play,” interim coach Phil Nana said in comments released by the team. “The game system is designed for players like her, for our 9 to be able to be at the end of these goals. She fits into this game model very well. We’re very happy with her contribution on and off the field.”
They take on a Dallas Trinity team that are currently second in the USL Super League standings with 40 points. Fans will also get to see a ton of players linked to the Washington Spirit. Three players – Tamara Bolt, Deborah Abiodun, and Shadia Nankya – are currently on loan from the Spirit, and two others – Amber Brooks and Maya Gordon – are Spirit alumni. Chioma Ubogagu’s free kick was the difference the last time these two teams met on April 2nd at the Cotton Bowl. Both fall matches resulted in draws. DC Power hope to get a second win in a row as the season begins to hit its twilight.
