DC United releases 2025-2026 Soul Kit
D.C. United has decided to pay homage to The District’s soul when it hits the road this season. Today, the club released the 2025 Soul Kit, which will serve as the secondary kit for the club for the next two seasons.

The jersey is inspired by The District’s “deep musical roots and cultural resilience,” embodying the spirit of the city that’s forever present in the Go-Go, funk, and soul music that serves as The District’s daily soundtrack. The team will wear the jerseys primarily on the road, and it’s their way of bringing the spirit of the city with them.
“This kit is more than just a uniform—it’s a statement of identity, culture, and pride,” said Danita Johnson, DC United President of Business Operations, in a statement. “D.C. has always been a place of resilience and artistic expression, and this design captures the energy of the city in a way that fans and players alike can embrace.”

The Soul Kit is a neutral, light beige jersey that features an accent design that contains red, blue, orange, purple, and brown. The design is on the armpits as well as flowing down each side of the torso. The colorful motif continues on the back necktape with the DC United wordmark. Even the DC United crest on the front contains the design within, with the eagle flying out from it. The jocktag features the eagle and DC United wordmark with a heart around a DC skyline that’s highlighted with the design in several colors, resembling a tequila sunrise.
The kit is complete with matching light beige shorts with the pattern running down the front sides. It is paired with light beige socks with a brown trim at the top.
The DC United Soul Kit is now available for purchase at MLS Store in both replica and authentic options. Click on the image below to head to the store and use our affiliate link, where a portion of your purchase goes to help with the maintenance costs for this site!

It’s a thoughtful venture. I like the replication of details. It could have been meh, but it isn’t.
It’s replacing a great one in the cherry blossom kit, but I think this one is pretty solid too. That brown trim at the top of the socks looks good. I think all of the new MLS kits this season are pretty good overall. I really like that Montreal went back to the stripes and that RSL checkerboard is sweet too.
Bring back the Cherry Blossoms!
