Jorian Baucom departs DC Power FC for Fort Lauderdale United
The first signing in DC Power FC’s history is headed to Fort Lauderdale. Today, the team announced that forward Jorian Baucom will leave the club to join Fort Lauderdale United FC, pending league and federation approval.
Baucom became the first player in DC Power’s history back when she signed on June 27th. She scored one goal in 13 appearances for DC Power during the fall portion of the USL Super League season, which was the first goal in the club’s history. She recorded 20 shots, with 8 on goal, in 1,001 minutes played.
“We want to thank Jorian for her contributions and leadership to the club in our inaugural season,” DC Power Football Club President Jordan Stuart said in a statement released by the team.
Baucom now joins a Fort Lauderdale team that is 4th in the USL Super League standings at the midseason break. DC Power, with new sporting director Steven Birnbaum at the helm, will continue to adjust their methodology ahead of the start of the spring portion of the schedule next month. That will include looking for answers on how to produce more goals and move up in the standings to try and win the title in the league’s inaugural season.
