DC Power FC @ Fort Lauderdale FC: Preview, time, and how to watch

DC Power FC is back on the field for their final match before the midseason break today as they travel to take on Lexington SC. DC Power is coming off a win at Fort Lauderdale FC back on November 23rd.

However, they enter this match with some massive changes, as the club parted ways with head coach Fred Brillant on November 27th. Phil Nana stands in as interim coach to lead in this match before the club begins its search for a permanent replacement.

Despite the team and Brillant having different visions of the right direction for the team, Nana said in Thursday’s press conference that he doesn’t intend to change much in the approach to a team that they beat at Audi Field back on October 25th. He mentioned that he hopes to boost the confidence of the players in an effort to get three points.

The team has struggled to score goals, as they are the only team in the USL Super League that has not scored 10 goals or more. They sit in 6th place, just 4 points below the playoff line. Nana hopes that a win can put the team in a better position to aim high in the spring portion of the season and get to the playoffs, and they want this match to serve as a boost to those chances. They will have to figure out a way to put the ball in the back of the net against last place Lexington to get the win as they enter the break.
