The extended highlights for the PSV game were wonderful, but goodness, do I wish that the Liverpool Real Madrid game was not streaming simultaneously to such a great match.
Malik Tillman, PLEASE bring this form to the national team. Pepi is likely playing himself into a great transfer- the millisecond by millisecond decisions he made to be onside for that chance, and then the touch and the leg reach to get to it? Stellar. Tillman obviously just a flawless second as well.
Ryan Keefer shared a tweet that there are reports out of Poland that DC has completed the signing of Joao Peglow. Transfer fee appears to be $700k according to the report
Hope it works out. Analytics are so ubiquitous in club scouting these days, the nets so broad, a team like DC is unlikely to land a player with eye popping numbers and obvious potential without a DP slot. 700 K is a gamble, but Mackay hasn’t had a big fuck up yet, so here’s hoping.
Underwhelming. Apparently he showed great potential with the Brazil U17s, but hasn’t reached those levels in a very well-traveled 5 year prof’l career. Could DC United be the club where he starts to fulfill the early promise? More often it’s the place where careers stagnate.
Well, we certainly can’t just accept that the club can’t develop young players, just have to grapple with the amount of improvement we have to do in that area.
Does he qualify as a U22?
He turns 23 in January, so to my knowledge he would not be a U22. Probably just a TAM signing
