DC Power FC announces Agile Defense as jersey sponsor

The USL Super League debuts tomorrow, and DC Power FC will play in the very first match on the road against Carolina Ascent. We now know the jerseys they will wear when they take the field. Today, DC Power announced that Agile Defense will serve as the front jersey sponsor in a multi-year partnership.

Agile Defense, an organization that works in digital and cyber domain to assist national security and civilian defense missions, will be on the front of both the home and away kits for Power FC and will have signage during matches at Audi Field.

“We are thrilled to enter into a partnership with Agile Defense, who is best-in-class within the cyber and data analytics space,” DC Power FC president and co-owner Jordan Stuart said in a statement. “This is an exciting time for the club as Power FC gets ready to kick off their inaugural season in the Super League. Agile Defense is providing invaluable resources to Power FC and shares a commitment to providing women with new and exciting opportunities in professional soccer. We’re excited to welcome Agile Defense to the Power FC family and are excited to start this first Super League season with Agile as our partner.”

The jerseys are sponsored by Capelli Sport, the main outfitter of the entire league. DC Power FC will play tomorrow in gray jerseys with white trim down the shoulders and sleeves. The DC Power FC crest will be on the left chest, with Agile Defense as the sponsor in blue and red across the front of the jersey. The USL Super League patch is featured on the left sleeve. The jersey is paired with royal blue shorts and gray socks.

One thing to note is that the jerseys that the team takes the field in tomorrow against Carolina are temporary. A DC Power FC spokesperson said that the jerseys will be worn for the opening match tomorrow, but will not be the main jerseys moving forward. The team plans to unveil their full kits at a later date ahead of their home opener against Fort Lauderdale United FC on September 13th.

DC Power FC will open up their season – and the entire league – Saturday when they take on Carolina Ascent at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. Kickoff is at 7:00pm ET and will be televised on Peacock.

Forgot about the logo redesign. I really like this one. Seems like this team and the entire league feel very very rushed. Like starting a season too soon, in my opinion. Al that said, I hope it succeeds!

Donald and I went to the introductory press conference (and I’m hoping to have something written up for the site soon), but I got the sense that not all teams were equally rushed…

I like the uniforms–which surprises me. The orange set look quite impressive actually.
